Over 20 years ago K Building Components, Inc. founder, Leyland Krumweude, was working for a metal building company in northern Minnesota when he decided to branch out on his own. Instead of fabricating metal buildings, he chose to sell and custom fit hollow metal doors and frames. Beginning with the taconite plants at the iron ore mines, he expanded his services through the years to include most industrial, commercial and even residential clients.

Since then we've grown into a regional company known for our ability to custom fit any door and our lasting client relationships prove it.
